The FXAA is very blurry. Its not bad once you get used to it, but if you play other games without FXAA and then you jump into BF3, it's really an eye sore.
Even if a less blurrier FXAA comes at the cost of some FPS, it wouldn't be a big deal.

To get sharp graphics with in-game FXAA (Post AA), apply sharpening pass as explained in my blog post. So yes you will need PostAA AND FXAA injector.

Let me know how it works for you.

FXAA is awesome in skyrim. It doesnt look blurry at all and allows me to use the gpu power that I would normally use for MSAA for other things like more detail and shadows etc. FXAA in Battlefield 3 however, make the whole screen really blurry, I can't play with it and instead using 2xMSAA and 720p High. (Otherwise would use FXAA 1080p high but its too blurry for me)

FXAA injector is perfect in BFBC2 too.
But in BF3 it blurs the image, that's why you need to apply sharpening on top of that and the results as explained above are pretty much great.

Check out the SMAA injector, I found it more pleasant then FXAA, also check your in game AAs turned off else youll be AAing your AA which just ends up in a blury mess.

Yep, SMAA injector is very nice as well. Out-of-the-box SMAA injection looks sharper than out-of-the-box FXAA injection - both require further tweaking though. And FXAA injection by default looks sharper than in-game AA Post high (which is FXAA as well).
I used them all for quite a while, but there was something missing so I tweaked my own settings up. To roughly summarize currently available FXAA/SMAA antialiasing options for improving BF3 image quality on the 'market':
1. SMAA injector 1.2
2. FXAA injector (classic fxaa 3.11 injector)
3. FXAA DANOC injector (modded popular fxaa 3.11 injector with color 'correction' filters and some over-the-top sharpening)
4. In-game 'AA Post High' + FXAA injector classic with antialiasing off and sharpening on - shit I posted above. Seems best of all so far.
5. Driver FXAA (with 301.24 Nvidia drivers you can force driver FXAA in Battlefield 3. Applying only driver FXAA wasn't that bad - it was a bit more blurry than FXAA injector, but seemed to remove far more antialiasing while still retaining some sharpness.
-----
1 and 2 are very nice
3 is a bit too exaggerated for my taste, I tried to tweak it but different settings broke one another
4 are my settings, recommended at least for folks with low-end machines, try and compare it to other methods
5 seems promising, I have yet to try how Driver FXAA + FXAA injector sharpening turns out.
-----
Waiting for SMAA 1.3 injector // FXAA 4.0 is just a little bit easier now.
cheers

How did you force FXAA though the drivers? In my Nvidia CP, the FXAA option says 'Not supported by application', which is consistent with what Nvidia said on the driver page: 'This feature is disabled for games that already have built-in support for FXAA.'
I would love to get a lower blur version of FXAA, but unfortunately my laptop is too weak for overlays like injectors.
Also I assume you were using this method: http://www.chromescreen.com/alternative-way-to-get-sharper-graphics-in-battlefield-3/ [chromescreen.com]
and I was wondering if that worked for you. The files provided seem to be missing the injFX_settings file.

Fxaa skyrim
You need Nvidia Inspector (http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-Inspector-1.94-download-2612.html) [downloads.guru3d.com] to force-allow driver FXAA for Battlefield 3 profile. Under 'Battlefield 3' profile you set parameter 'Nvidia Predefined FXAA Usage' to FXAA_ALLOWED_ALLOW, save changes, and then you will be able to enable FXAA through Nvidia control panel.
Yes, I was using the method from that link, it's my blog btw, and the method works very well. It is also performance-friendly.
The files arent missing the injFX_settings, it's just a more basic FXAA injector which includes only the antialiasing and sharpening filter. The other FXAA injector (DANOC injector 1.x) you are referring to, includes also presharpen filter, color filter and so on. But basically it's the same thing, depends if you like to correct the colors as well, then go ahead and use the other one. I posted my files since it works 'out of the box' this way. But of course you can tweak your own settings.
But nevermind the driver FXAA anyway, I tested also the combination of driver FXAA + FXAA injector (with antialiasing off and sharpening on), and the image quality is not better compared to the method from chromescreen.com (Post AA HIGH + FXAA sharpen). On top of that, driver FXAA is more resource hungry and slows the game down a bit. So not an option for me.
