Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is getting an update on June 25 that will allow players to obtain various Devil May Cry costumes for characters along with an Air Man costume that references one of the new robot masters from Mega Man 11.

The official Capcom-Unity website gave fans info on a new update coming early next week that details exactly how fans can get these costumes. The Devil May Cry costumes are specifically for the fighters Ken, Ed and Laura, while the Air Man costume is reserved for Rashid.

Ken's Dante costume is inspired by Dante's look in Devil May Cry 4 and includes the Rebellion sword that will rest on Ken's back while he fights. Additionally, using an alternate code will equip Ken with Gilgamesh, a second set of armor from Devil May Cry 4 that includes gauntlets, greaves, a mask, and back armor.

Ed's Nero costume comes from the main protagonist of Devil May Cry 4 equipped with Nero's blade Yamato. Using an alternate code for this costume will remove Nero's jacket to reveal the entirety of his Devil Bringer arm.

The Dante and Nero costumes will be available for purchase for $3.99 USD each on the PlayStation Store and Steam alongside the previously announced new character Cody on June 25.

Laura's costume is based on Gloria from Devil May Cry 4 and using an alternate code will simply replace Gloria’s hair with Laura’s hair. Her costume can't be bought traditionally, and can only be obtained by playing through the new Extra Battle Mode.

Every month, there will be one or more unique costumes that can only be obtained by playing Extra Battle Mode with Fight Money, Street Fighter's in-game currency. Each new costume requires players to complete four challenges that take place over the span of a month.

With one challenge per week, each challenge attempt costs 2,500 FM. These challenges are timed exclusive, and may disappear after their dedicated month is over.

Though not explicitly stated, Capcom suggested Rashid's Air Man costume will be the next to be obtained through Extra Battle Mode.

This Extra Battle Mode coincides with the game's new loot box equivalent dubbed Fighting Chance that will be hitting Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition on June 25. Players have expressed their frustration the edition of Fighting Chance, criticising Capcom for locking exclusive costumes behind the system.
